Cornel Amariei, 27 ani, este antreprenor român şi fondator al start-up-ului românesc dotLumen, prin care dezvoltă o pereche de ochelari pentru nevăzători şi care a atras recent o finanţare în valoare de peste 9 milioane de euro din partea Acceleratorului Consiliului European pentru Inovaţie (EIC), unul dintre cele mai competitive programe de finanţare la nivel european, unde rata de succes e de 8,1%, punând astfel România pe harta investiţiilor Europene.
„Este un moment istoric pentru România să câştigăm cele mai selecte fonduri de inovaţie din Europa. Ne pune pe o hartă cu care ar trebui să ne mândrim. Majoritatea sumei se va împărţii între research and development (R&D) – să avansăm cercetarea fundamentală, dezvoltarea produsului şi finalizarea procesului de a face produsul manufacturabil; şi Business Development – să fondăm o echipa solidă de business developers ce să crească partner network-ul companiei”, a spus într-un interviu pentru MEDIAFAX Cornel Amariei, CEO al start-up-ului .lumen - Glasses for the Blind.
